Tracking human motion in an indoor environment

چکیده
This paper presents an approach to tracking human motion in a sequence of monocular images. The process consists of detecting motion, segmenting moving subjects by recovering the background and, nally, tracking the subject of interest. The usual assumptions of small image motion, a xed viewing system and constant velocity are systematically relaxed. Two cases are studied: 1) a viewing system with negligible motion, and 2) a viewing system with non-negligible motion.

Incorporating environment models for improving vision-based tracking of people
This paper presents a method for real-time 3D human tracking based on the particle filter by incorporating environment models. We track a human head represented with its 3D position and orientation by integrating the multiple cues from a set of distributed sensors. In particular, the multi-viewpoint color and depth images obtained from distributed stereo camera systems and the 3D shape of an in...
متن کاملRobot Motion Vision Pait I: Theory
A direct method called fixation is introduced for solving the general motion vision problem, arbitrary motion relative to an arbitrary environment. This method results in a linear constraint equation which explicitly expresses the rotational velocity in terms of the translational velocity. The combination of this constraint equation with the Brightness-Change Constraint Equation solves the gene...
متن کاملTracking human motion using multiple cameras
This paper presents a framework for tracking human motion in an indoor environment from sequences of monocular grayscale images obtained from multiple fixed cameras. Multivariate Gaussian models are applied to find the most likely matches of human subjects between consecutive frames taken by cameras mounted in various locations. Experimental results from real data show the robustness of the alg...
متن کاملHead and Face Detection at Indoor Environment by Home Robot
In this paper we describe a method for the detection and tracking of human’s head and face inside indoor environment by a home robot. In this system we use signal of infrared sensor and also data from CCD camera for locating the human. By using a combination of motion detection, shape analysis and color information we locate heads and faces of different size and orientation in video images. At ...
متن کاملInteractive Indoor Environment Mapping through Human-Robot Interaction
This paper presents a novel human-robot interaction approach to grid mapping of an indoor environment based on a 3D Kinect sensor and the Grid-based mapping algorithm. It mainly includes three modules: Skeleton Tracking, Robot Control and GMapping. Firstly, the Skeleton Tracking module builds a human skeleton model, extracts the skeleton joints’ position information from 3D visual data and gene...
